WTA represents news anchors, hosts, correspondents, and sports and weather anchors at the national level, as well as top local stations throughout the United States. WTA focuses on placing its clients in the top 30 markets, as well as the at broadcast networks. It is very active in cable and syndication as well.
WTA's clients include Monita Rajpal, who was reporting in Toronto when Gregg
Willinger discovered her, whom we placed as an anchor with CNN International
in London. Other network clients include NBC correspondent/anchor Chris Jansing, as well as CBS News correspondent Hari
Sreenivasan, who has been a client of Gregg Willinger's for over a decade.
WTA also represents Rita Cosby, who has anchored primetime shows on MSNBC
and Fox News.
On the cable side, WTA represents more sportscasters at ESPN than any other agency. Clients there include 11 p.m. SportsCenter host John Anderson, “NFL Live” host Trey Wingo, and “College Game Day” host Rece Davis. WTA also represents correspondents John Barr, George Smith and Lisa Salters, who is also a sideline reporter for ABC Sports' coverage of the NBA and college football. WTA has also moved Robert Flores from Austin, Texas, Nicole Manske from Indianapolis, and Shannon Spake from Speed Channel.
WTA represents high profile anchors and correspondents at Fox News, including anchors Julie Banderas, host of “Big Story Weekend,” Harris Faulkner, who anchors prime time newsbreaks, and Patti Ann Browne, as well as correspondents Steve Brown, Orlando Salinas, and Rebecca Gomez, anchor for the Fox Business Network. Gregg Willinger also discovered Bret Baier reporting in Rockford, Illinois, the 135th market in the U.S.; he is currently the Chief White House Correspondent for Fox News.
Other national cable news clients include Tony Harris, morning anchor at CNN, Susan Roesgen, Chicago correspondent for CNN, Court TV trial correspondents Jean Casarez (whom Gregg Willinger discovered in Reno, Nevada), as well as Paul Goodloe, prime-time meteorologist for The Weather Channel, whom Gregg Willinger discovered at a local station in St. Louis in the mid 1990's.
Other national cable deals successfully negotiated by WTA included moving long-time client Cathy Ballou from a local weather job to host of “Calling All Cooks” for The Food Network for several seasons. Its clients have also worked at Nickelodeon, The National Geographic Channel, as well as The Discovery Channel.
In the syndication arena, WTA has done deals for hosts and correspondents for "Inside Edition," "EXTRA," "Entertainment Tonight" and "A Current Affair." Additionally, WTA has carved a niche for itself in identifying top talent in Canada and bringing them to distinguished local stations and networks in United States. WTA is also very active with the affiliate feed services of all the networks, and has placed its clients at every major service, including ABC NewsOne, CBS NewsPath, NBC NewsChannel, and CNN NewsSource. Long-time client Grant Rampy, whom Gregg Willinger discovered in 1995, is the D.C-based senior correspondent for Tribune Broadcasting.
In addition to its numerous clients at ESPN, WTA represents many people at the Fox regional sports channels, as well as Comcast SportsNet's regional channels. It also moved client Tom Werme from a local station in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to the primary host for Carolina Sports and Entertainment Television (C-SET), a regional sports channel in Charlotte, North Carolina.
In addition to jobs in the television industry, WTA has successfully negotiated product endorsement deals for its clients, public speaking engagements, as well as radio deals. It has also “optioned” books and life stories to Hollywood-based film and television studios for its clients.
